Is #optimism a superpower for a more healthy and sustainable work-life-flow?

We asked 848 Spanish employees and investigated the relationship between optimism and sleep, feelings of being recovered, and feelings of being “burned out” from work.

We found that people who look to the future with confidence and who mostly expect good things to happen reported higher levels of sleep quality and adequate sleep quantity along with more frequent feelings of being recovered, and less frequent feelings of being “burned out” from work (sig. at the 0.01-level).

From a positive psychology perspective, optimism can be learned and taught.
